Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and LumeCode LLC ("LumeCode", "we", "us" or "our") governing your use of our applications, websites and related services (the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. The Services
LumeCode produces and distributes serialized short-form drama. The Services may include access to episodes, in-app currency, personalised recommendations and related features. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, series or the Services as a whole, subject to applicable law and any paid entitlements.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or at least 16 in the EEA and the UK) to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Services only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. You may not use the Services if you have previously been removed from them for breaching these Terms.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, unless it results from our failure to apply reasonable security measures.
- Notify us promptly at admin@lumecode.cc if you suspect unauthorised use.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, poses a security risk, or is required to be restricted by law.
4. In-app purchases and virtual currency
- Virtual currency and unlocks are a limited, non-transferable licence to access content within the Services. They have no monetary value outside the Services, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-transferable except where required by law.
- Purchases made through a third-party platform (for example an app store) are also governed by that platform's payment terms. Refunds are handled by the platform where it processes the transaction.
- Prices are shown before purchase and may change prospectively. Changes do not affect purchases already completed.
- Statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence, including the right to withdraw where applicable, or rights relating to digital content that is not as described or is faulty.
5. Content and intellectual property
The Services, including all series, video, artwork, scripts, audio, software, text and design, are owned by LumeCode or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the content for your own private, non-commercial use.
You must not, without our prior written permission:
- copy, record, screenshot, download, redistribute, re-upload or re-broadcast any content;
- edit, dub, add captions to, or create derivative works from any content;
- use the content to train, fine-tune or otherwise develop artificial intelligence or machine learning models;
- remove or alter watermarks, copyright notices or other proprietary markings;
- circumvent geographic, paywall or access restrictions.
Requests for permission or licensing may be sent to admin@lumecode.cc.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to permit anyone else to:
- use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in breach of applicable regulations;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services, other users' accounts, or our systems and networks;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Services, or interfere with their normal operation;
- use automated means such as bots, scrapers or crawlers to access the Services or extract data;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Services, except to the extent permitted by law;
- upload or transmit malicious code, or engage in fraud, including fraudulent purchases or abuse of refunds and promotions;
- harass, threaten, defame or impersonate others through the Services.
7. Third-party platforms and services
The Services may be accessed through, link to, or integrate with third-party platforms and websites. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services, and your relationship with them is directly with them.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Services available but may suspend them for maintenance, updates, security or events outside our reasonable control. Content availability may vary by region and may change over time, including removal of series where rights expire.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that content will meet your expectations. We do not exclude or limit warranties that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of your country of residence.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LumeCode will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you reside.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and may request closure of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, and will give notice where reasonably practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability — will survive.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules applicable where you live, you and LumeCode agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at admin@lumecode.cc and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email before they take effect, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continuing to use the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
